If you don’t have a specific location in mind to have your photo session, I can suggest several very beautiful spots around the Alpharetta area that will work for most any photography needs.
1) The first is Rock Mill Park at 3100 Kimball Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30022 (Best light is in the mornings and no less than 1 hour before sunset). It’s very wooded, located on the Big Creek Greenway, with a small stone amphitheater great for seating, 2 stone pavilions and a small pond and trails along the woods. Beautiful light in the mornings! I use it a lot for families with little ones. Check it out HERE
2) The next is the Mansell House at 1835 Old Milton Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30022 – at Wills Park. Check it out HERE
It’s a very pretty old house with gorgeous gardens and flowers in the spring/summer, great colors in the Fall, and a wrap-around porch and gazebo. It’s used as a wedding venue and very nice. **I do have to confirm they have no events going on during our appointment.
3) Another location is called Mill Creek off of North Point Pkwy, behind the Steinway Piano store. It is a neighborhood park with a grassy field & terracotta stairs leading down to a lake with a stone bridge, there’s also a fountain with nice stone work, as well as an urban look with sidewalks with building fronts and decorative stairs. The meeting spot is the Tuscany Market Cafe, right on the corner, 28017 Mill Creek Ave, Alpharetta, GA 30022
4) Finally, there is Garrard Landing park, 8000 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30022. It has huge fields and woods, trails and a great wooden bridge over a rocky creek, as well as access to the Chattahoochee River. Turn in at the Johns Creek Environmental Campus, follow the the trail to the left and park in the area at the beginning of the trail to the bridge. I’ll meet you at that spot.
